Emerging Practice Areas

The Emerging Practice Areas Program is designed to help lawyers and law firms expand their business offerings by leveraging developing practice areas that are becoming more and more important to individual and business clients.

The individual courses cover a brief background about the specific subject matter, including the factors that are leading to its increased importance, followed by detailed examples of the situations in which the particular service can be of tremendous value to clients.

We then discuss specific strategies for establishing and growing each as a practice area, along with marketing tactics.

Each of these courses is suffused with materials related to ethics--both as a factor of the proper role and scope of a lawyer's involvement, and as a factor of the business and marketing tactics firms may employ to publicize the services.
