Enneagram for Lawyers

Course Overview

What if you could predict the behavior of clients, adverse parties, peers, judges and others in response to particular situations?

What if you could plan litigation, negotiation and other strategies in advance, with knowledge about how other parties would respond to your main tactics and strategies?

What if you could pick juries based on the unconscious motivations of people and the way they unwittingly and consistently relate to life, as opposed to merely their conscious answers to your questions?

What if you could counsel clients about key decisions in litigation, business and personal matters, by knowing their predictable response to circumstances and their patterned way of relating to a variety of stimuli?

If you could practice with this kind of power you’d probably win more cases, successfully negotiate more matters, have happier clients and dramatically expand your power in any situation. The bad news for humanity is that most of us do react in patterned, unconscious ways to a wide range of circumstances in life. The good news is there is a proven system for bringing these things to light, either for personal transformation or for predicting behavior. The Enneagram is an ancient system developed in the Middle East, brought to the West at the turn of the last century, standardized and enhanced by psychologists and now used by consultants in many fields to transform personal behavior, business culture and organizational effectiveness.

In this course, we present you with a detailed analysis of the nine personality patterns in the Enneagram and the analytical tools needed to spot each type. We teach you the patterned characteristics of each of the nine types, focusing on how they respond to stress, challenges and other circumstances. And, we teach you how to ask questions and use perceptual tools to uncover each type when you aren’t sure. We then provide specific examples of how to use these skills in litigation, negotiation and other situations. You will end up knowing others better than they know themselves and you’ll be able to use this knowledge for the benefit of your clients as well as for your own personal transformation—after all, you likely have a particular pattern as well. When you can identify your own pattern and know its inherent strengths and weaknesses, you can enhance your overall skill-set in business and in life tremendously.

This program features a two hour e-course along with detailed written materials to help you further understand and identify the nine personality patterns in the Enneagram and an optional in-person consulting/training session for you or your entire firm. At the end of the e-course you will be provided a link to the information about our consulting services.

Any lawyer serious about building a law practice around winning in court or on the field of business, or who simply wants to better understand his or her own strengths and weaknesses should consider registering for this course.
